Meet Robert W. Melrose, O.D.

Dr. Melrose is one of the partners at Griffin & Reed Eye Care, and has been a part of the family at Griffin & Reed Eye Care since 1994. He attended UCLA prior to earning his Doctor of Optometry from the University of California, Berkeley School of Optometry in 1982. He and his wife, Dr. Rosemary Melrose began practicing in Stockton in the same year.

Dr. Melrose has served on the faculty of the University of California Berkeley, School Of Optometry as an Assistant Clinical Professor for over 13 years. He taught on the Berkeley campus for 10 years. Dr. Melrose joined the surgical refraction team when Griffin & Reed Eye Care was taking groups of patients to Canada for Laser Vision Correction while waiting for FDA approval in the United States. Dr. Melrose has managed the care of thousands of Laser Vision Correction cases since 1994 and has had the procedure himself.

Dr. Melrose is active in the Sunrise Rotary Club of Stockton, the Chamber of Commerce, Y-Indian Guides and served on the Board of Directors of the Stockton Community Blind Center for 10 years. Dr Melrose, his wife, Rosemary, and their twin sons, Brian and Kevin, reside in Stockton.
